SIGNS THAT YOUR PET IS EXPERIENCING JOINT PAIN/MOBILITY ISSUES

Slowing down on walks or can’t go as far.

Sitting down intermittently or refusing to move beyond a certain point.

Slow to arise out of lying down or sitting position.

Limping for a few steps when first starting to move.

More lethargy or less active during the day.

More panting than usual, especially without doing any type of activity.

More restless or can’t settle down especially at night.

Trouble walking on hard surfaces or slick floors.

Slipping or falling on smooth surfaces.

Hesitating to jump in/out of car or going up/down the stairs.

Areas of increased heat on spine, hips or other joints (check for this by running your hands over the dog’s body).

Areas of tenderness indicated by flinching or twitching or signs of discomfort when you run your hands over the dog’s body.

Disinterest in food, toys or greeting you when you try to engage with your dog.
